Media & Awards The Hoof Beat Outriders Drill Team has been very busy practicing, riding and performing together throughout the years since 2008 and we are continuing to be noticed and highlighted at various events around our community and beyond. We believe this is due to the unique fun, excitement and positive energy we bring out in each other as friends and ultimately to our audiences as we are performing. Each and every member of our team is very proud of the hard work that our team members, ground crew and horses do to achieve this recognition by our audience, various organized groups and the media. As a team unit, we all shine and succeed...TOGETHER! Every award, photo, interview and performance event we attend is only possible as a great team...TOGETHER! Therefore, it stands to reason that no one person shines on our team and all our achievements are shared...TOGETHER! We appreciate and have fun with every moment we have. That's what it's all about! YAHOO!
Awards: November 21, 2010 - Orillia Santa Claus Parade - 2nd Place Award for the Best Walking Group in the parade The Hoof Beat Outriders Drill Team is very proud to announce that our team won 2nd Place in the Orillia Santa Claus Parade for the Best Walking Group this year!! We are so happy with this honour for our team again this year!! Thank you so much to the Parade Committee for recognizing us in this way. We really appreciate it. The theme of the parade this year was "Christmas From Around the World" and the Hoof Beat Outriders Drill Team were proud to be riding! We performed our parade routine and it was so much fun to ride together for our final performance of 2010! We also had our mini-horse, "The Mickey" driving and a vaulting horse with vaulters showing their special skills! We had such a wonderful time once again and loved every minute of the parade! So much fun!! :)
November 23, 2009 - Orillia Santa Claus Parade - 1st Place Award for the Best Walking Group in the parade
The theme of the parade this year was "Christmas Tunes" and the Hoof Beat Outriders went as "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer"! Click here for some photos of our team in the parade. We performed our parade routine and it was so much fun to ride together for our final performance of 2009! We also had our newest member of our vaulting team, Alysha Wilson, performing her routine for the people of Orillia! Our mini-horse was Rudolph and all the other horses were dressed as the reindeer team with our vaulting horse as the 'sleigh'. Throughout our performance, our team also lent voices to a 'wonderous' singing rendition of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer with parents and children alike, singing and clapping right along with us! It felt wonderful to us to hear the audience singing together with us! That's the Christmas Spirit and that's exactly what its all about!! What an honour for our team again this year!! Thank you so much to the Parade Committee for recognizing us in this way. We really appreciate it. What a rush!! Good times!!! :)
